Having fun with digiscrap

I’ve discovered that I’m not a very crafty person at all. I can’t sew more than a basic hem or bag, not to mention I don’t even own a sewing machine. I tried making soaps but they turned into a big congealed mass of goop that pretty much resembled a cow pat in every way except smell. For that reason, I’ve never tried making my own candles either. :P

I do like photography and fiddling on computers though, so it made sense to give digiscrap a try. I started doing a paper scrapbook for my mum’s 60th birthday – she’s 62 now and it’s still a work in progress so I guess you can figure out how well I did with that. I did like fiddling with the layouts and such but my main problem was that I tended to cut the photos out and such and then decide that it would have been nice to keep some of the background in as well. I know the whole saying about measuring twice and cutting once but I never seem to be able to do that. That’s the brilliant part about digiscrap – you can crop photos as much as you like, fiddle around, change your mind a billion times until you get something that you feel is just right. :D

I found a lovely free wallpaper from Digiscrap Depot and turned the photo I had of Mojo into a sepia and came up with this page. So what do you think? :)

Great combination of images! Is that bird in the cat’s dreams or is the cat in the bird’s dreams?

Thanks Duncan :) As for the question, the bird is probably in Mojo’s dreams but Mojo would be the stuff of the bird’s worst nightmares for sure. ;)
