Forget Christmas. Last night was what I was looking forward to the most in December. Ironically, I would have missed out on it all if not for my sister’s mistake in booking tickets. I had no idea he was coming, given I live securely under a rock when it comes to that sort of thing. She had booked herself a ticket for the Thursday night performance, only to realise she had tickets also booked for Andre Rieu the same night. I didn’t particularly want to go by myself but I said to her if she could get another ticket in the same row, myself and my partner would both go. She couldn’t and in the end, she rebooked for Saturday night instead so we could all go.
It might have been closer to 11pm on a Saturday by the time he sang it, but Billy Joel did not disappoint. He is the Piano Man and by the volume of people across all ages, singing, dancing and waving to the music, he has still got it some 30 years later. I hope he’s still got it in another decade or so and still touring because I would definitely go back!

So pleased you enjoyed it Stormy I envy you , my favourite is Piano Man to, I have his CD’s and just love him to bits
PS i am having Piano Man at my funeral
Great pic Stormy..glad you had a good night I’ve always been a Billy Joel fan I envy you.
